School Wide Positive Behaviour Support

We are proud to be a School-Wide Positive Behaviour GOLD Accredited School!

What achieving gold means for us…

  • Behaviour expectations are clearly taught and used by staff
  • Data is used to guide decisions and planning
  • Tiered supports are in place and working for students who need more help
  • Staff respond to behaviour in a consistent way
  • Acknowledgement systems i.e. Kiko cards / store are used meaningfully
  • We continue to reflect, adapt and keep strengthening our practice

At Kings Park Primary School, we believe in creating a positive, supportive, and respectful environment where every student can thrive. Our focus is on fostering the values of Safety, Respect, and Responsibility in everything we do.

By promoting these core values, we aim to create a nurturing space where all students feel safe, valued, and empowered to take responsibility for their actions. We believe that when these values are at the heart of our school community, students are not only prepared for academic success but also for success in life.

Kings Park Primary School has consistent behaviour expectations across the school settings outside the classroom so that all students know the best way to succeed. In classrooms, teachers guide students to share their opinions on what they think is fair and agree on expectations that are then displayed and referenced to for the school year.

We believe in rewarding students when they work hard to display the expected behaviours. Students are rewarded with Kiko cards and can use those to spend it for prizes at the Kiko Store.

When students require support following expected behaviour, we have consistent processes in how staff respond depending on whether they are minor or major behaviours of concern.

Every assembly, a student is chosen by our Principal, Jodi Park, to receive the Principal's Award. These students demonstrate exemplar expected behaviours and are consistently safe, respectful and responsible.
