School Council

The Kings Park Primary School Council is a group of interested parents, school staff and co-opted community members who volunteer to oversee the planning of the school's future.  The School  Council at Kings Park Primary School has a wide range of roles responsibilities which include:

  • Developing the school’ strategic plan
  • Determining the school’s general educational policy
  • Approving and monitoring the school’s budget
  • Supervising the management and maintenance of buildings and grounds
  • Establishing an appropriate consultative decision-making structure
  • Reporting annually to the Minister of Education and the school community
  • Generally stimulating interest in the school

The school council is therefore the body that sets the vision, determines priorities, and ensures that the school is responsive to the needs of the local community.
